Truman
Truman is our favorite problem child! He's a Clydesdale/Thoroughbred cross, and he's just the sweetest guy ever. It's his feet that are the problem! He's got super thin, weak hoof wall, and Justin thinks he may have laminitis. He will have to get radiographs done to be sure.
Anyways, Truman has to have front shoes because he will get sore without them, but he routinely stresses his owner out by pulling them every couple days. So Justin came up with a solution!
He used Vettec Adhere (looks like gross mayo) to build a false layer of hoof wall around each front foot, then nailed the shoes on. The nails now have something strong and solid enough to clench into.
It's been a few weeks now and they're still on! SUCCESS!
