Trimming Hercules, pt 2
This week, Justin was able to finish up Hercules' front hooves and move on to the back.
Hercules did have to be sedated again in order for Justin to safely trim his hooves.
Two days stall rest was recommended to the owners to ensure that his tendons were able to relax after being stretched from his overgrown feet.
These horses are only sedated by a veterinarian or the owner, and only if they are extremely dangerous or untrained.
Teamwork makes the dream work!
(Especially when you have to trim the feet of a 3 year old Clydesdale stud colt that has been sedated!)

Side note: I didn't get to take any "after" pictures because it had gotten dark by the time Justin finished. I'll get some on the next visit when Hercules has his checkup!
